Nature of the platform

Interstitium is an independent scholarly publication series developed by CRAI. It is not a peer-reviewed academic journal and does not currently publish original research articles.

Interstitium publishes Scientific Essays, Research Commentaries and invited Responses. Contributions published directly by Interstitium undergo editorial assessment and revision but not formal external peer review. The article type and editorial status of each contribution are stated on its publication page.

Research Commentaries may discuss research previously published in externally peer-reviewed journals. Any reference to peer review in this context applies to the underlying publication and does not extend to the commentary or other interpretative contribution published by Interstitium.

Scientific and medical disclaimer

The content provided through Interstitium is intended for scientific communication, research, education and professional discussion.

Although the platform addresses subjects related to biology, ecology, medicinal plants, phytochemistry, pharmacology, cognition and human health, its content does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, treatment guidance or a therapeutic recommendation.
